Click-It or Ticket Campaign Results

From September 23rd to September 29th, the Rhode Island State Police joined state police and local police agencies across the nation in supporting "Click it or Ticket" in a nationwide enforcement campaign. The Rhode Island State Police deployed additional patrols throughout the State with funding obtained through the Department of Transportation's Office on Highway Safety. These additional patrols targeted seat belt laws and child restraint laws in an effort to save lives.

State Police patrols handled the following from September 23rd - 29th:

- Issued a total of 415 seat belt and child restraint citations - Investigated 87 motor vehicle crashes - Issued 820 citations - Investigated 1 fatality - Arrested 11 individuals for DUI - Assisted 98 motorist

Please help the Rhode Island State Police in our effort to continue making the roadways of our State safer by remembering to buckle-up and following the speed limit. And please don't drink and drive.
