Secretary of State Mollis and Staff to Highlight their Efforts to Make it Easier for Rhode Island Businesses to Start and/or Expand Businesses

PROVIDENCE, RI -- As a result of legislation passed by the General Assembly, creating the FIRST STOP Business Information Center, it is now easier for Rhode Islanders to open, maintain, and grow their businesses.

On Tuesday, February 11, 2014 at 3:00 p.m. Secretary of State A. Ralph Mollis and his staff will speak to members in the House Lounge, which will highlight the services available to constituents who are interested in turning their vision for a business into a reality. The presentation will be repeated at the Rise for those who can't make it at 3:00 p.m.

"I want every Rhode Islander to know that our office is here to help with their business needs, whether it's in person at our public counters, online via our QuickStart program, or over the phone, we will get you the answers you need, to get you started on the road to success," said Mollis.

It is the goal of Secretary of State A. Ralph Mollis to provide Rhode Islanders with as many resources as possible to begin, maintain and grow their business. As the official repository for business and commercial records, our office maintains the records of over 65,000 registered corporate entities, 140,000 commercial liens, 4,000 trademark/service mark registrations and 21,000 notaries public commissions.
