Lt. Governor Roberts Hosts 2014 Leadership Awards

PROVIDENCE— Lt. Gov. Elizabeth Roberts honored Rhode Island's exemplary high school seniors today in the State Room of the Rhode Island State House as part of the Lieutenant Governor's Leadership Awards Program. Initiated in 1993 to recognize high school seniors who have made a positive difference in their schools and communities, the program enables each high school in the state to choose one student that best embodies the qualities of a student leader and exhibits both a dedication to scholarship and a commitment to community service. Edesia Global founder Navyn Salem was the guest speaker and delivered the keynote speech on leadership.
