RISP Team to Run Boston Marathon to Raise Money for Cops for Kids with Cancer

Colonel Ann C. Assumpico, Superintendent of the Rhode Island State Police and Director of the Department of Public Safety, announces that members of the Rhode Island State Police have once again been afforded the opportunity to run the Boston Marathon on April 17, 2017.

As in previous years, the Rhode Island State Police Team is raising money to support the charity Cops for Kids with Cancer. This is a federally recognized non-profit organization which provides assistance to families who are faced with the challenges of having a child with cancer. The State Police runners have established a "Crowdrise" site where donations can be made in support of the team's charity.
