The Providence County Grand Jury reported out a secret indictment charging Jonathan Torres with one count of first degree robbery, one count of conspiracy, one count of assault with a dangerous weapon, and one count of assault and battery.
It is alleged that on or about July 9, 2016, Torres conspired with two others to commit robbery. It is further alleged that Torres assaulted and robbed an individual with a machete. The alleged incident took place in Providence. The Providence Police conducted the investigation. Torres is scheduled to be arraigned in Providence County Superior Court on March 29, 2017.
Rafael Escalera (age 67) 387 Admiral Street Providence, RI P1-2017-0461A
The Providence County Grand Jury reported out a secret indictment charging Rafael Escalera with one count of first degree child molestation and two counts of second degree child molestation.
It is alleged that on or about dates between June 20, 2005 and June 20, 2009, Escalera molested a person 14 years of age or under. The alleged incidents took place in Providence. The Providence Police conducted the investigation. Escalera is scheduled to be arraigned in Providence County Superior Court on March 29, 2017.
Jason Cournoyer (age 42) LKA: 148 High Street Cumberland, RI P1-2017-0462A
The Providence County Grand Jury reported out a secret indictment charging Jason Cournoyer with three counts of first degree child molestation.
It is alleged that or about dates between November 7, 1999 and November 7, 2004, Cournoyer molested a person 14 years of age or under. The alleged incidents took place in Providence. The Providence Police conducted the investigation. Cournoyer is scheduled to be arraigned in Providence County Superior Court on March 29, 2017.
Raul Ramirez (age 33) 185 Pavilion Avenue Providence, RI P1-2017-0465AG
The Providence County Grand Jury reported out an indictment charging Raul Ramirez with one count of possession of cocaine over one kilo, one count of possession of heroin over one kilo, one count of possession with intent to deliver cocaine, one count of possession with intent to deliver heroin, and one count of possession of a firearm while in possession of a controlled substance.
It is alleged that on or about September 4, 2016, Ramirez was in possession of 22 kilos of cocaine and one kilo of heroin. It is further alleged Ramirez was in possession of a 9 MM Glock pistol while being in possession of cocaine and heroin.
The alleged incident took place in Providence. The Rhode Island State Police conducted the investigation. Ramirez is schedule to be arraigned in Providence County Superior Court on March 29, 2017.
