PROVIDENCE, RI - Governor Gina M. Raimondo made the following statement on Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day:
"Today we celebrate the legacy of one of our nation's heroes--Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. As we reflect on his teachings, let us recommit ourselves to the cause of equality. We must work towards progress together by speaking out against injustice and bigotry whenever we see it. It is on all of us to ensure that every child--regardless of race, religion or zip code--has a fair shot at the American Dream."
