On January 22, 2020, the Statewide Grand Jury returned an indictment charging Ginalys Velazquez Camara with one count of involuntary manslaughter for unlawfully killing an infant.
The alleged acts occurred in the city of Providence on or about a date between March 23, 2019 and March 30, 2019. The Providence Police Department conducted the investigation.
The defendant is scheduled to be arraigned on February 12, 2020 in Providence County Superior Court.
