At 8:33 PM, Troopers arrested James Haney, age 24, of 93 Maynard Street, Pawtucket, Rhode Island for 1.) Duty to Stop- In Accidents Resulting in Damage to Vehicle 2.) Hold Without Bail Third District Division Court Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear for Arraignment on the original charge of Driving While Under the Influence of Intoxicating Liquor and/or Drugs- 1st Offense .15 or Greater originating out of the North Providence Police Department. The arrest was a result of a barracks investigation. The subject was taken into custody at the Lincoln Woods Barracks, processed and held overnight pending morning arraignment at Third District Court.
At 11:29 PM, Troopers arrested Robert Hunt, age 51, of 2020 Elmwood Avenue, Warwick, Rhode Island for 1.) Hold Without Bail Superior Court Bench Warrant (32F) Technical Violation on the original charge of Possession of a Controlled Substance Schedule I-V originating out of the Warwick Police Department, 2.) Hold Without Bail Superior Court Bench Warrant (32F) Technical Violation on the original charge of Possession of a Sawed-Off Shotgun originating out of the Coventry Police Department and 3.) An Affidavit and Arrest Warrant for Receiving Stolen Property originating out of the West Warwick Police Department. The arrest was a result of a motor vehicle stop on Route 95 in the City of Cranston. The subject was transported to the Lincoln Woods Barracks, processed and later transported to the Adult Correctional Institution Men's Intake Center.
