At 8:46 AM, Troopers arrested Filizberto Mendes, age 28, of 398 Washington Street, Taunton, Massachusetts on a Sixth District Court Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear for Pre-Trial on the original charge of Driving with a Suspended License originating out of the East Providence Police Department. The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Route 95 in the City of Providence. Mendes was transported to the Lincoln Woods Barracks where he was processed, arraigned by Justice of the Peace and released.
At 4:27 PM, Troopers arrested Johnnie Santiago, age 28, of 67 Mowry Street Apartment #1 Providence, RI on an Affidavit and Arrest Warrant for 1.) Reckless Driving and 2.) Obstructing a Police Officer. This arrest was the result of a barracks investigation and the Cranston Police Department locating the subject in their city. The subject was transported to the Lincoln Woods Barracks where he was processed, arraigned by a Justice of the Peace, and transported to the Adult Correctional Institution-Men's Intake Center where he will be held as a probation violator.
