At 9:05 AM, Troopers of the Traffic Enforcement Unit arrested Jovany Vargas, age 25, of 57 Power Road, Cranston, RI on an Affidavit Arrest Warrant out of the Providence Police Department for 1.) Domestic Simple Assault and 2.) Failure to Relinquish Telephone. The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Route 95, in the City of Providence. The subject was transported to the Lincoln Woods Barracks where he was processed and later turned over to the Providence Police Department.
At 2:21 AM, Troopers arrested John Segars, age 29, of 28 Arch Street, Providence, RI for Possession of a Stolen Motor Vehicle. The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Branch Avenue, in the City of Providence. The subject was transported to the Lincoln Woods Barracks where he was processed and held overnight pending morning arraignment.
