At 10 :30 AM, Troopers arrested Dashawn Diaz, age 21, of 136 Adelaide Avenue, Apt. 1, Providence, Rhode Island, for 1.) Affidavit and Arrest Warrant out of the Smithfield Police Department for Felony Assault and Vandalism/Malicious Damage to Property, 2.) Providence Superior Court bench warrant for Failure to Appear for Arraignment on the charge of Possession of a Stolen Motor Vehicle originating out of the Providence Police Department, and 3.) Fourth District Court bench warrant for Failure to Appear for Arraignment on the original charge of Domestic Disorderly Conduct originating out of the University of Rhode Island Police Department. Diaz was transported to the Lincoln Barracks, processed, and later turned over to the Smithfield Police Department.
