On April 25, 2025 at 6:00 PM, Troopers arrested Joel Cruz Veloz, age 37, of 10 Fletcher Street, Central Falls, Rhode Island, for an Affidavit and Arrest Warrant for 1.) Obtaining Money Under False Pretenses and 2.) Access to a Computer for Fraudulent Purpose originating out of State Police Headquarters Auto Theft Unit. The arrest was the result of Troopers responding to Pawtucket Police Department and taking Veloz into custody. Veloz was transported to State Police – Headquarters where he was processed and released with a future Sixth District Court Date.
On April 25, 2025 at 11:38 PM, Troopers arrested Mynor Ortega Garcia, age 31, of 116 Cleveland Street Apt. 1, Providence, Rhode Island for 1.) Driving Under the Influence of Intoxicating Liquor and/or Drugs – First Offense – B.A.C. Unknown, and 2.) Refusal to Submit to a Chemical Test. The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Wallace Street in the City of Providence. Ortega Garcia was transported to the State Police Lincoln Woods Barracks where he was processed, arraigned by a Justice of the Peace, and released into the custody of a responsible adult.
