Lincoln Woods Barracks

At 10:35AM, Troopers arrested Jovanna Nunez, age 35, of 70 Kinfield Street, Providence, Rhode Island for 1.) Superior Court Full Bench Warrant on the original charge of Stalking Prohibited originating out of the Cumberland Police Department and 2.) Extraditable Affidavit/Arrest warrant on the original charge of Forgery of Checks originating out of the Rehoboth Police Department. This arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on School Street, in the City of Pawtucket. The subject was transported and processed at the Lincoln Woods barracks and later turned over to Superior Court where she will be presented as a Fugitive from Justice.

At 7:08 PM, Troopers arrested Steven Velasquez, age 34, of 51 Daren Road, Boston, MA, for 1.) Fugitive From Justice and 2.) Affidavit and Arrest Warrant on the charges of 1.) Alterations of Marks of Identification of Firearms, 2.) License or Permit Required to Carry a Pistol, 3.) Large Capacity Feeding Devices Prohibited, 4.) Improper Storage of Firearm, 5.) Possession of Firearm by Certain Persons Prohibited, and 6.) Provision Order Violation out of the Seekonk Police Department. The arrest was the result of Troopers taking custody of Velasquez at Rhode Island Hospital from the Seekonk Police Department. The subject was arraigned as a Fugitive from Justice and released by a Justice of the Peace into the custody of the Rhode Island Sheriffs Department.

At 9:33 PM, Troopers arrested Murphy Ramos Cartagena, age 36, of 63 Mill Street, Woonsocket, Rhode Island for Larceny Under $1,500. The arrest was the result of a Barracks investigation by Troopers and the Woonsocket Police Department locating Ramos Cartagena. The subject was transported to the State Police- Lincoln Woods Barracks where he was processed and held overnight pending morning arraignment in Third District Court, where he will be presented as a bail violator.
