On May 22, 2025, members of the Financial Crimes Unit arrested Lisa Scorpio Vecchio, age 44, of 160 Curry Street, Cranston, Rhode Island, for five counts each of the following: 1) Obtaining Property by False Pretenses; and 2) Exploitation of an Elder. Ms. Vecchio was processed at State Police Headquarters, arraigned in Sixth Division District Court and released on $2,000.00 surety bail.

On May 22, 2025, members of the HIDTA Task Force arrested Celso Herrera, age 39, of 36 Humes Street, Providence, Rhode Island, for the following: 1) Possession With the Intent to Deliver Cocaine 1oz-1kg; 2) Possession With the Intent to Deliver A Schedule II Controlled Substance – Cocaine; and 3) Providence County Superior Court Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear for Arraignment for Possession With the Intent to Deliver Cocaine 1oz-1kg out of the Providence Police Department. Mr. Herrera was transported to the Lincoln Woods Barracks for processing, special arraigned by a Justice of the Peace, and turned over to officials at the ACI Intake Center pending his morning arraignment in Sixth Division District Court.

On May 22, 2025, members of the ACI Investigations Unit arrested Jodecilynn Costa, age 29, last known address of 6 Goddard Street, Providence, Rhode Island, for the following: 1) Fugitive from Justice from the State of Massachusetts. This arrest was the result of an investigation conducted by the Department of Corrections Records and Identification Unit and the ACI Investigations Unit. Ms. Costa was arraigned in Third Division District Court, where she was remanded to the custody of the Sheriffs Department pending her return to Massachusetts.

On May 22, 2025, members of the ACI Investigations Unit arrested Ahesha Taylor, age 42, last known address of 42 Mount Vernon Street, Providence, Rhode Island, for the following: 1) Possession of Controlled Substance Schedule I-V less than 10 grams; and 2) Conveyance of Unauthorized Articles To and From an Institution. Ms. Taylor was arraigned in Third Division Court, where she was presented as a Superior Court violator and remanded to the custody of the Sheriffs Department.

On May 22, 2025, members of the ACI Investigations Unit arrested Gerrod Crowell, age 33, last known address of 55 Blackburn Street, Warwick, Rhode Island, for the following: 1) Violation of No Contact Order - 1st offense. Mr. Crowell was arraigned in Third Division Court, where he was presented as a Superior Court violator and remanded to the custody of the Sheriffs Department.

On May 22, 2025, members of the ACI Investigations Unit arrested Jesse Roy, age 35, last known address of 8 Almond Street, Lincoln, Rhode Island, for the following: 1) Violation of No Contact Order - 3rd offense. Mr. Roy was arraigned in Third Division Court, where he was presented as a Superior Court violator and remanded to the custody of the Sheriffs Department.

On May 22, 2025, members of the Rhode Island Violent Fugitive Task Force arrested Raul Afonso, age 59, of 12 Miller Lane, Woonsocket, Rhode Island, on an Affidavit and Arrest Warrant from the Central Falls Police Department for the following: 1) Second-Degree Child Molestation (2 counts); 2) Electronically Disseminating Indecent Material to a Minor; 3) Simple Assault; and 4) Disorderly Conduct. Mr. Afonso was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Central Falls Police Department.
