On Monday, June 2, 2025 at 11:48 PM, Troopers arrested Richard Sampson, age 65, of 46 Potowomut Road, East Greenwich, Rhode Island for 1.) Possession of a Schedule I-V Controlled Substance (10 Grams or less), 2.) Reckless Driving and 3.) Obstructing Officer in Execution of Duty. The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle accident investigation on Route 95 in the Town of West Greenwich. Mr. Sampson was transported to the Rhode Island Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries and will be later arraigned at as a probation and bail violator.
