At 10:47 AM, Troopers arrested Braian Sosa Torres, age 22, of 139 Superior Street, Floor 1, Providence, Rhode Island for 1.) Reckless Driving – First Offense. The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Canal Street in the City of Providence. The subject was transported to the Lincoln Woods Barracks, where he was processed, and later transported to Sixth District Court for arraignment.
At 11:10 AM, Troopers arrested Carlos Mieses Benitez, age 34, of 122 Mawney Street, Providence, Rhode Island for Leaving the Scene of an Accident. The arrest was the result of a barracks investigation by Troopers and subsequently locating the subject on Broad Street in the City of Providence. The subject was transported to the State Police- Lincoln Woods Barracks where he was processed and later transported to Sixth District Court for arraignment.
At 6:45 PM, Troopers arrested Joshua Tillinghast, age 35, of 44 Pocasset Street, Johnston, Rhode Island for 1.) Larceny Under $1,500, 2.) Fraudulent Use of Credit Cards, and 3.) Obtaining Credit Card through Fraudulent Means. The arrest was the result of a barracks investigation and the Pawtucket Police Department subsequently locating Tillinghast. The subject was transported to the State Police- Lincoln Woods Barracks where he was processed, arraigned as a probation violator and turned over to the Men's Adult Correctional Institute- Intake.
At 11:15 PM, Troopers arrested Douglas Cooper, age 60, of 68 Dartmouth Avenue, Providence, Rhode Island for 1.) Possession of Schedule I-V Controlled Substance
