On Monday, July 7, 2025, at 3:14 PM, Troopers arrested Lionel Lugo, age 42, of 35 Salmon Street, Providence, Rhode Island, for 1.) Driving Without Consent of Owner and 2.) Driving With a Suspended License- Fourth + Offense. This arrest was the result of Troopers responding to a BOLO from the Pawtucket Police Department and locating the vehicle in the City of Providence. Lugo was processed at the Lincoln Woods Barracks, arraigned/presented as a bail/probation violator, and then turned over to the Adult Correctional Institution Men's Intake Center.
On Tuesday, July 8, 2025, at 12:53 AM, Troopers arrested Byron Soto Lopez, age 42, of 42 Hauxhurst Street, Providence, Rhode Island, for 1.) Driving Under the Influence of Intoxicating Liquor and/or Drugs BAC Unknown and 2.) Refusal to Submit to a Chemical Test. This arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Thurbers Avenue, in the City of Providence. Lopez was processed at the Lincoln Woods Barracks, arraigned and released into the custody of a responsible adult.
