On Tuesday, August 12, 2025, at 10:53 AM, Troopers arrested Jacob Perry, age 35, of 80 Curtis Street Apartment 601, Providence, Rhode Island, for 1.) Obstructing an Officer in the Execution of Duty and 2.) Forgery and Counterfeiting of Registration Plates. This arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Smith Street, in the City of Providence. Perry was processed at the Lincoln Woods Barracks and later arraigned at the Sixth Division District Court.
On Tuesday, August 12, 2025, at 1:37 PM, Troopers arrested Marianela Tavaras-Tavarez, age 30, of 25 Croyland Road, Third Floor, Providence, Rhode Island for 1.) Passing of Counterfeit Certificates, Bills or Notes, 2.) Larceny Under $1500 and 3.) Obtaining Money Under False Pretenses. This arrest was the result of a barracks investigation, and a subsequent motor vehicle stop on Route 10 South, in the City of Cranston. Tavaras-Tavarez was processed at the Lincoln Woods Barracks, arraigned, and released pending a future date at the Sixth Division District Court.
On Tuesday, August 12, 2025, at 11:50 PM, Troopers arrested Juan Agurto Yanez, age 25, of 324 Admiral Street, Apartment #1, Providence, Rhode Island, on a Sixth Division District Court Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear for a Pretrial Conference on the charge of Driving with a Suspended License originating out of the Lincoln Woods Barracks. This arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on the Broad Street, in the City of Providence. Agurto Yanez was processed at the Lincoln Woods Barracks and later transported to the Adult Correctional Institution Men's Intake Center.
