At 9:30 AM, Troopers arrested Merffy Soto Tavarez, age 22, of 83 Sackett Street, Providence, Rhode Island, for 1.) Sixth Division Court Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear for Summons on the original charge of Driving with Suspend/ Revoked/Cancelled License - Offense originating out of Burrillville Police Department. This arrest was the result of Troopers responding to the Rhode Island Traffic Tribunal for a subject in custody. Mr. Tavarez was transported to the State Police - Scituate Barracks, where he was processed and transported to Sixth Division District court.
At 12:33 PM, Troopers arrested Kassondra Benonisen, age 27, of 388 Vose Street, Apartment 1R, Woonsocket, Rhode Island for Possession of a Schedule I to V Controlled Substance – 10 Grams of Less (Hydrocodone). This arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Route 99 in the Town of Lincoln. The subject was transported to State Police Headquarters where she was processed and held as a Probation and Bail Violator pending morning arraignment.
