On August 21, 2025, members of the Rhode Island Violent Fugitive Task Force arrested Alex Briggs, age 29, of 231 Maple Avenue, Apt. 403, Newport, Rhode Island, on the following: 1) Affidavit and Arrest Warrant for Fraudulent Use of Credit Card originating out of the Middletown Police Department; and 2) Affidavit and Arrest Warrant for Obstruction originating out of the Jamestown Police Department. Mr. Briggs was taken into custody without incident and turned over to the Middletown Police Department on scene.
On August 21, 2025, members of the Rhode Island Violent Fugitive Task arrested Anthony Welchman, age 39, of 53 Tourtelott Avenue, Warwick, Rhode Island, on an Affidavit/Arrest Warrant from the Warwick Police Department for original charges of: 1) Domestic Kidnapping; 2) Domestic B&E; and 3) Domestic Violation of No Contact Order. Mr. Welchman was taken into custody without incident and turned over to the Warwick Police Department.
On August 21, 2025, members of the ACI Investigations and Intelligence Units arrested Kimberly McArthur, age 32, of 220 Broad Street, Apartment #506, Providence, Rhode Island, for the following: 1) Conveyance of Unauthorized Articles To/From Institution and 2) Conspiracy. Ms. McArthur was arraigned in Third Division Court, where she was granted $5,000 surety bail.
