On September 3, 2025 at 3:11 PM, Troopers arrested Dashawn Diaz, age 26, of 94 Daboll Street, Providence, Rhode Island, for Possession of a Stolen Motor Vehicle. The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop, subsequent barracks investigation and Troopers later locating him at his residence. The subject was transported to State Police – Headquarters, where he was processed, and held pending arraignment at Sixth Division District Court, where he will be presented as a probation/bail violator.
On September 3, 2025 at 10:42 PM, Troopers arrested Carlos Chanco, age 67, of 43 Angus Street, Coventry, Rhode Island for 1.) Driving Under the Influence of Liquor -B.A.C Unknown-First Offense 2.) Refusal to Submit to a Chemical Test-First Offense. The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Route 295 in the City of Warwick. The subject was transported to the State Police -Headquarters, where he was processed, arraigned before a Justice of Peace and released to the custody of a responsible adult.
