On Thursday, September 11, 2025, at 2:31 PM, Troopers arrested Jayron Ortega Martinez, age 18, of 41 Sackett Street, Providence, Rhode Island, for Possession of Marijuana – More than Two Ounces. The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on New London Turnpike in the Town of Coventry. Mr. Ortega Martinez was transported to the State Police Hope Valley Barracks where he was processed, arraigned by a Justice of the Peace and released with a future Third Division District Court date.

The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on New London Turnpike in the Town of Coventry. Mr. Stanley was transported to the State Police Hope Valley Barracks where he was processed, arraigned by a Justice of the Peace and released with a future Third Division District Court date.
On Friday, September 12, 2025, at 1:25 AM, Troopers arrested Jason Dupuis, age 49, of 187 Yorktown Road, North Kingstown, Rhode Island, for 1.) Fourth Division District Court Bench Warrant for Probation Violation on the original charge of Receiving Stolen Goods Under $1500 originating out of the North Kingstown Police Department 2.) Third Division District Court Bench Warrant for Probation Violation on the original charge of Receiving Stolen Goods Under $1500 originating out of the Smithfield Police Department 3.) Kent County Superior Court Bench Warrant for Technical Violation on the original charge of Shoplifting Over $100 – Second Offense originating out of the Coventry Police Department 4.) Kent County Superior Court Bench Warrant for Technical Violation on the original charge of Shoplifting Over $100 – Second Offense originating out of the Warwick Police Department 5.) Washington County Superior Court Bench Warrant for Technical Violation on the original charge of Shoplifting Over $100 – Second Offense originating out of the North Kingstown Police Department 6.) Kent County Superior Court Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear for Restitution Review on the original charge of Shoplifting Over $100 – Second Offense originating out of the Warwick Police Department 7.) Kent County Superior Court Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear for Restitution Review on the original charge of Shoplifting Over $100 – Second Offense originating out of the Coventry Police Department 8.) Affidavit and Arrest Warrant for Domestic Violence – Simple Assault originating out of the North Kingstown Police Department 9.) Affidavit and Arrest Warrant for Shoplifting originating out of the Westerly Police Department 10.) Affidavit and Arrest Warrant for Shoplifting and Obstructing Officer in Execution of Duty originating out of the Warwick Police Department 11.) Affidavit and Arrest Warrant for Reckless Driving, Obstructing Officer in Execution of Duty, and Driving with Suspended License – 4th+ Offense 12.) Obstructing Officer in Execution of Duty 13.) Resisting Legal or Illegal Arrest 14.) Possession of Schedule I – V Controlled Substance Under 10 Grams – Methamphetamine and 15.) Possession of Firearm by Certain Persons Prohibited. The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop and subsequent foot pursuit on Nooseneck Hill Road in the Town of West Greenwich. Dupuis was transported to the Hope Valley Barracks where he was held overnight pending arraignment in Third Division District Court.
On Friday, September 12, 2025, at 3:10 AM, Troopers arrested Kerry Malik, age 51, of 96 White Rock, Road, Westerly, Rhode Island for 1.) Washington County Superior Court Bench Warrant for Carry Pistol or Revolver Without Permit originating out of the Department of Environmental Management 2.) Weapons other than Firearms Prohibited (Two counts). The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Route 95 in the Town of West Greenwich. Malik was transported to the Hope Valley Barracks where he was processed and held overnight pending arraignment in Third Division District Court.
