On September 17, 2025, members of the Computer Crimes Unit/Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force arrested Matthew Shevlin, age 28, of 910 Mendon Road, Apt. 2, Cumberland, Rhode Island, for Possession of Child Pornography. Mr. Shevlin was transported to the Lincoln Barracks, processed, and transported to Sixth District Court. Mr. Shevlin was arraigned by the Honorable Chief Judge Lafazia, who issued $2,500 surety bail, with special conditions of no unsupervised contact with minors and restricted internet access.
On September 17, 2025, members of the Rhode Island Violent Fugitive Task Force arrested Xavier Boyer, age 22, of 400 Broadway Street, Pawtucket, Rhode Island, on an Affidavit and Arrest Warrant out of the Pawtucket Police Department for the following: 1) Domestic Breaking and Entering; 2) Domestic Assault by Strangulation; and 3) Domestic Simple Assault. Mr. Boyer was taken into custody without incident and turned over to the Pawtucket Police Department.
