At 11:15 PM, Troopers arrested Joelfri De La Cruz, age 27, of 285 Narragansett Street, Cranston Rhode Island for an Affidavit and Arrest Warrant on charges 1.) Forgery and Counterfeiting 2.) Obtaining Property by False Pretenses/Personation over $10,000 3.) Fraudulent Checks over $1,500 out of the State Police Lincoln Woods Barracks. The arrest was the result of a barracks investigation by Troopers and the Providence Police Department locating De La Cruz. De La Cruz was transported to the Lincoln Woods Barracks where he was processed and held overnight as a bail violator.
At 2:45 AM, Troopers arrested Leoangel Dume Weeks, age 26, of 23 Barrows Street, Providence, Rhode Island for 1.) Driving Under the Influence of Intoxicating Liquor and/or Drugs – B.A.C .15 or Greater – First Offense (Phase I: .162% & Phase II: .157%). The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Route 6 in the City of Providence. Dume Weeks was transported to the Lincoln Woods Barracks where he was processed, arraigned by a Justice of the Peace, and released with a Notice to appear in Sixth Division District Court.
At 3:10 AM, Troopers arrested Manuel Matzatz, age 26, of 172 Webster Avenue, Providence, Rhode Island for 1.) Driving While Under the Influence of Intoxicating Liquor and/or Drugs – B.A.C Unknown 2nd Offense and 2.) Refusal to Submit a Chemical Test. The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Union Avenue in the City of Providence. Matzatz was transported to the Lincoln Woods Barracks where he was processed, arraigned by a Justice of the Peace, and released with a notice to appear in Sixth Division District Court.
