At 10:59 AM, Troopers arrested Zhane Mclain, age 28, of 131 Greenville Road, unit 2, North Smithfield, Rhode Island, for an active Sixth District Court Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear for Pre-Trial Conference on the original charge of Domestic Violence - Simple Assault and/or Battery originating out of the Lincoln Woods Barracks. The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Whipple Street in the City of Providence. The subject was transported to the Lincoln Woods Barracks, where she was processed and later turned over to Sixth Division District Court.
At 1:15 AM, Troopers arrested Robert J. Moretta, age 27, of 85 Washington Street, Plainville, Massachusetts, for 1.) Domestic Disorderly; 2.) Domestic Simple Assault and/or Battery; and 3.) Domestic Refusal to Relinquish or to Damage or Obstruct a Telephone. The arrest was the result of Troopers investigating a domestic disturbance on Valley Street in the City of Providence. The subject was transported to the State Police – Lincoln Woods Barracks, where he was processed, arraigned by a Justice of the Peace, and released with a notice to appear in Sixth Division District Court.
