On December 3, 2025 at 3:21PM, Troopers arrested Kathryn Desjardins, age 36, of 337 Sowams Road, Barrington, Rhode Island, for an Affidavit and Arrest Warrant on the charge of 1.) Obtaining Property by False Pretenses > $10,000, 2.) Fraudulently Obtaining Public Assistance > $500, 3.) Access to Computer for Fraudulent Purposes, and 4.) Giving False Documents to a Public Official. The arrest was the result of a barracks investigation by Troopers and the subject turning herself in at State Police – Headquarters. The subject was later processed, arraigned by a Justice of the Peace, and released with a notice to appear in Third Division District Court.
