At 11:00 PM, Troopers arrested Angel Merced, age 50 of 341 Friendship Street, Providence, Rhode Island for 1.) Sixth Division District Court Bench Warrant for 46G Violation on the original charge of Possession of a Schedule I-V Controlled Substance originating out of Providence Police Department, 2.) Sixth Division District Court Bench Warrant for 46G Violation on the original charge of Possession of a Schedule I-V Controlled Substance originating out of State Police – Lincoln Woods Barracks. The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Cranston Street, in the City of Providence. The subject was transported to the State Police Headquarters where he was processed and transported to the Adult Correctional Institution – Men's Intake Center.
