Arrest: 2026-021790 Location: Johnston
On April 3, 2026, at approximately 5:05 AM, members of the HIDTA Task Force and the Providence Police Department Narcotics Unit arrested Nicholas Souto, age 36, of 2 Camelot Circle, Johnston, Rhode Island, for the following: 1) Possession with Intent to Deliver a Schedule II Controlled Substance - Fentanyl; 2) Possession with Intent to Deliver a Schedule II Controlled Substance - Cocaine; 3) Possession of a Firearm while Committing a Controlled Substance Violation; and 4) Possession of a Firearm while Committing a Controlled Substance Violation. This arrest was the result of a Search Warrant executed at the conclusion of a narcotics investigation. Mr. Souto was transported to the Lincoln Woods Barracks, where he was processed. He was later transported to Third District Court for arraignment.
Arrest: 2026-020166 Location: Cranston
On April 3, 2026, at approximately 11:00 AM, members of the Computer Crimes Unit/Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force arrested Michael Gallo, age 33, of 33 Canonchet Trail, Cranston, Rhode Island as a Fugitive from Justice from the State of Massachusetts. Mr. Gallo was transported to the State Police Headquarters, processed, and arraigned before Magistrate Ippolito. Mr. Gallo was remanded to the custody of the Sheriff's Department, pending his return to Massachusetts.
