On Monday April 6, 2026, at 9:32 PM, Troopers arrested Wayne A. Hamilton, age 59, of 57 Bernon Street, Apartment 2R, Providence, Rhode Island, for 1.) Driving Under the Influence of Liquor – BAC Unknown – First Offense, 2.) Driving After Suspension of License – Fourth or Subsequent Offense, and 3.) Refusal to Submit to a Chemical Test – First Offense. This arrest was the result of motor vehicle stop on Bernon Street, in the City of Providence. Hamilton was processed at the Lincoln Woods Barracks, arraigned by the Justice of the Peace, and released with a notice to appear in Sixth Division District Court.
On Tuesday April 7, 2026, at 12:11 AM, Troopers arrested Eduardo L. Pena Benitez, age 36, of 108 Comstock Avenue, Providence, Rhode Island, for 1.) Disorderly Conduct and 2.) Affidavit and Arrest Warrant issued by the North Providence Police Department for Domestic – Vandalism/Malicious Injury to Property and Domestic – Disorderly Conduct. This arrest was the result of an investigation into a disturbance on Route 95, in the City of Cranston. Pena Benitez was processed at the Lincoln Woods Barracks, arraigned by the Justice of the Peace, and turned over to the North Providence Police Department.
