At 11:30 AM, Troopers arrested Anthony Melendez, age 41, of 752 Social Street Apartment #1, Woonsocket, Rhode Island on a Providence Superior Court Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear for Technical Violation Hearing on the original charge of Domestic Violence – Breaking and Entering originating out of the Woonsocket Police Department. The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Robinson Street in the City of Woonsocket. The subject was transported to Headquarters where he was processed and later turned over to Providence Superior Court.
At 6:30 PM, Troopers arrested Jennifer Darling, age 49, of 39 Morning Dove Drive, Tiverton, Rhode Island, for 1.) False Statement To Obtain Replacement Public Assistance Check > 500, 2.) Fraudulently Obtain Public Assistance > 500, and 3.) Giving False Document To Agent, Employee, or Public Official. The arrest was the result of a barracks investigation and Little Compton Police Department subsequently locating Darling. The subject was transported to Headquarters where she was processed, arraigned by a Justice of the Peace, and released with a future Third Division District Court date.
