At 11:30 AM, Troopers arrested Maria Mejia Alfaro, age 46 of 198 River Ave, Apartment 2, Providence, Rhode Island for 1.) Giving False Document to Agent, Employee, or Public Official, 2.) Obtaining Property by False Pretenses/Personation > 10,000, 3.) Fraudulently Obtain Public Assistance > 500, and 4.) Fraudulent Use of Food Stamps > 500. This arrest was the result of the Providence Police Department locating Alfaro. Alfaro was processed at the Lincoln Woods Barracks and transported to Third Division District Court for arraignment.
