On April 28, 2026 at 11:10 PM, Troopers arrested Ciara Valentin, age 21 of 55 W Park Pl. Woonsocket, Rhode Island for 1) Driving Under the Influence of a Drug, Toluene, or Controlled Substance-1st Offense, 2) Refusal to Submit to Chemical Test-1st Offense, 3) Eluding a Law Enforcement Officer With a Motor Vehicle in a High Speed Pursuit-1st Offense, and 4) Reckless Driving and Other Offenses Against Public Safety-1st Offense. The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle pursuit of a vehicle that failed to stop for the Smithfield Police Department and Johnston Police Department. The vehicle later crashed on Broadway at Greene Street in the City of Providence. The subject was transported to Rhode Island Hospital for evaluation and later transported to the State Police Headquarters where she was processed and held overnight as a Probation and Bail Violator pending arraignment.
