On Wednesday April 28, 2026 at 1:40 PM, Troopers arrested Misty Machado, age 47, of 1020 Bald Hill Road Warwick, Rhode Island for 1.) Obtaining Property by False Pretense/Personation – Over 10,000, 2.) Access To Computer for Fraudulent Purposes, 3.) Identity Fraud – 1st Offense 4.) Bank Fraud, and 5.) Fraudulent Use of Credit Card – Over 1000 in a 6 Month Period. This arrest was a result of a barracks investigation. Troopers responded to Machado's residence where she was located and taken into custody. Machado was processed at the Hope Valley Barracks, arraigned by the Justice of Peace, and released with a future Fourth Division District Court arraignment date.
