On Tuesday April 28, 2026, at 3:55 p.m., Troopers arrested Roland W. Ruge, age 63, of 120 North Main Street, Apartment A2, North Smithfield, Rhode Island, for 1.) Driving Under the Influence of Liquor – BAC .10 to .15 – First Offense (Phase I: 0.110% & Phase II: 0.111%); and 2.) Driving After Suspension of License – Fourth or Subsequent Offense.? The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Route 295, in the Town of Smithfield.? The subject was transported to State Police – Headquarters, where he was processed, and held pending morning arraignment at Third Division District Court, where he will be presented as a bail/probation violator.
