Scituate Barracks

On May 7, 2026 at 11:00 a.m., Troopers arrested Samuel Mate, age 41, of 63 Webster Street, Pawtucket, Rhode Island, for an active Affidavit and Arrest Warrant for Simple Assault originating out of the Providence Police Department. The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Route 6 in the City of Johnston. The subject was transported to the State Police Headquarters, where he was processed and later transported to the Providence Police Department.

On May 7, 2026 at 2:45 p.m., Troopers arrested Marilyn Vazquez Alamo, age 56, of 251 Sayles Street, Pawtucket, Rhode Island, for 1.) Superior Court Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear – Cost Review, on the charge of Obtaining Money Under False Pretenses > $500.00 originating out of the State Police – Lincoln Woods Barracks, 2.) Superior Court Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear on the charge of Obtaining Money Under False Pretenses > $500.00 originating out of the State Police – Lincoln Woods Barracks, 3.) Superior Court Bench Warrant for 32F Violation, on the charge of Obtaining Money Under False Pretenses > $1,500 originating out of the State Police – Lincoln Woods Barracks, 4.) Superior Court Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear - Restitution on the charge of Welfare Fraud originating out of the Attorney General Office. The arrest was the result of Troopers responding to the Division of Motor Vehicles, subsequently placing the subject into custody. The subject was transported to the State Police Headquarters, where she was processed and later transported to the Adult Correctional Institution – Women's Intake Center.

On May 7, 2026 at 11:03 p.m., Troopers arrested Kevin Cortez, age 22, of 757 Atwells Avenue, Apartment 2, Providence, Rhode Island, for 1.) Driving Under the Influence of Intoxicating Liquor – B.A.C. .15 or Greater – First Offense. (Phase I: 0.162% BrAC & Phase II: 0.174% BrAC) The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Delaine Street in the City of Providence. The subject was transported to the State Police Headquarters, where he was processed and held overnight pending morning arraignment in Sixth Division District Court where he will be presented as a probation violator.
