On Sunday, May 10, 2026 at 1:46 AM, Troopers out of the Hope Valley Barracks arrested Matthew Cunningham, age 41, of 225 Bell Schoolhouse Road, Exeter, Rhode Island, for 1.) DUI of Liquor or Drugs – B.A.C. Unknown – First Offense, and 2.) Refusal to Submit to Chemical Test – First Offense . The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle accident investigation on Bell Schoolhouse Road in the Town of Exeter. The subject was transported to the State Police – Hope Valley Barracks, processed, arraigned, and released with a Notice to Appear in Fourth Division District Court.
