On May 11, 2026, members of the HIDTA Task Force, the Drug Enforcement Administration Providence District Office, and the East Providence Police Department Special Investigations Unit arrested Lorenzo Medina Rivas, age 30, of 15 Sprague Street, Providence, Rhode Island, for the following: 1) Possession With the Intent to Deliver Over 1 Kilogram of a Schedule II Controlled Substance – Fentanyl; 2) Possession With the Intent to Deliver a Schedule II Controlled Substance – Fentanyl; 3) Possession With the Intent to Deliver Once Ounce to One Kilogram of a Schedule II Controlled Substance – Cocaine; 4) Possession With the Intent to Deliver A Schedule II Controlled Substance – Cocaine; 5) Possession With the Intent to Deliver A Schedule II Controlled Substance – Methamphetamine; 6) Possession of a Firearm While Committing a Controlled Substance Violation; 7) Possession of a Ghost Gun; and 8) Large-Capacity Feeding Devices Prohibited (2 counts). Mr. Rivas was processed at the Lincoln Barracks, special arraigned by a Justice of the Peace, and turned over to officials at the ACI Intake Center pending a morning arraignment in Sixth Division District Court.

On May 12, 2026, members of the Rhode Island Violent Fugitive Task Force arrested Chande J. Nobre, age 21, of 623 Lonsdale Avenue Apartment 1, Central Falls, Rhode Island, on an Affidavit and Arrest Warrant from the Central Falls Police Department for the following: 1) First-Degree Child Molestation (2 Counts); 2) Second-Degree Child Molestation (6 counts); and 3) Assault with Intent to Commit Specific Felonies (2 counts). Mr. Nobre was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Central Falls Police Department.

On May 12, 2026, members of the Rhode Island Violent Fugitive Task Force arrested Leandro Gomes, age 27, last known address of 560 Prospect Street, Apartment 65, Pawtucket, Rhode Island, for the following: 1) Affidavit and Arrest Warrant from the North Providence Police Department for Failure to Register as a Sex Offender; 2) Affidavit and Arrest Warrant from the North Kingstown Police Department for Obtaining Money Under False Pretenses; 3) Affidavit and Arrest Warrant from the Providence Police Department for Domestic Simple Assault; 4) Affidavit and Arrest Warrant from the Pawtucket Police Department for Reckless Driving/Eluding; 5) Superior Court Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear for Presentment as a Violator on an original charge of Felony Assault out of the Providence Police Department; 6) Superior Court Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear for Presentment as a Violator on an original charge of Failure to Register as a Sex Offender out of the Pawtucket Police Department; 7) Superior Court Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear for Pretrial Conference on an original charge of Failure to Register as a Sex Offender out of the Providence Police Department; and 8) Superior Court Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear for Pretrial Conference on an original charge of Failure to Register as a Sex Offender out of the North Providence Police Department. Mr. Gomes was taken into custody without incident and turned over to members of the Pawtucket Police Department on scene.

On May 12, 2026, the ACI Investigations Unit arrested Naydelys Jimenez, age 24, of 105 Ives Street, East Providence, Rhode Island, for the following: 1) Conveyance of Unauthorized Articles To or From Institutions; and 2) Possession of Controlled Substance - Less than 10 grams. Ms. Jimenez was processed at State Police Headquarters, arraigned by a Justice of the Peace and provided with a future court date.
