On May 14, 2026, Detectives with the HIDTA Task Force arrested John Courtemanche, age 38, of 59 Pocasset Street, Apt. 3, Johnston, Rhode Island, for the following: 1) Possession with the Intent to Deliver One Ounce to One Kilogram of a Schedule II Controlled Substance - Cocaine; and 2) Possession with the Intent to Deliver a Schedule II Controlled Substance - Cocaine. Mr. Courtemanche was processed at the Lincoln Barracks and arraigned in Third District Court.
On May 14, 2026, members of the HIDTA Task Force arrested Julien Vasquez, age 33, of 16 Pumgansett Street, Providence, Rhode Island, for the following: 1) Possession With the Intent to Deliver One Ounce to One Kilogram of a Schedule II Controlled Substance – Cocaine; 2) Possession With the Intent to Deliver A Schedule II Controlled Substance – Cocaine; 3) Possession of a Firearm While Committing a Controlled Substance Violation; 4) Possession of a Firearm by Certain Persons Prohibited; and 5) Large-Capacity Feeding Devices Prohibited (2 counts). Mr. Vasquez was transported to the Lincoln Barracks for processing, special arraigned by a Justice of the Peace, and then turned over to officials at the ACI Intake Center pending his morning arraignment in Sixth Division District Court.
