On Sunday, May 17, 2026 at 3:00 PM, Troopers arrested Junior Diaz, age 48, of 66 Burnett Street, Apartment 1, Providence, Rhode Island, for Possession Schedule I-V Controlled Substance Less than 10 Grams (Suboxone). The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Route 4 in the Town of North Kingstown. Diaz was transported to the State Police—Wickford Barracks where he was processed and transported to the Adult Correctional Institution – Men's Intake, pending morning arraignment at Third Division District Court.
On Sunday, May 17, 2026 at 3:00 PM, Troopers arrested Amber Avila, age 38, of 654 Cranston Street, Apartment 3, Providence, Rhode Island, for 1.) Possession Schedule I-V Controlled Substance—10 Grams to 1 Ounce (Cocaine), 2.) Weapons Other Than Firearms Prohibited (3 Counts), and 3.) Driving With Suspended/Revoked/Cancelled License—4th + Offense. The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Route 4 in the Town of North Kingstown. Avila was transported to the State Police—Wickford Barracks where she was processed and transported to the Adult Correctional Institution – Women's Intake, pending morning arraignment at Third Division District Court.
