ARREST: 2026-033206 LOCATION: Providence
On Friday, May 22, 2026, at approximately 6:00 AM, members of the Rhode Island Violent Fugitive Task Force arrested Elton McGee, age 55, of 460 Pine Street, Providence, Rhode Island, on an Affidavit and Arrest Warrant from the Cranston Police Department for the following: 1) Failure to Register as a Sex Offender; and 2) Failure of Shelter to Notify Law Enforcement. The arrest was the result of an investigation by the Violent Fugitive Task Force. Mr. McGee was taken into custody without incident and turned over to members of the Cranston Police Department on scene.
ARREST: 2026-033202 LOCATION: Pawtucket
On Friday, May 22, 2026, at approximately 8:00 AM, members of the Rhode Island Violent Fugitive Task Force arrested Willy Medina, age 18, of 81 Lincoln Avenue, Apartment 2, Pawtucket, Rhode Island, on an Affidavit and Arrest Warrant out of the Narragansett Police Department for Assault and Battery Resulting in Serious Bodily Injury (Narragansett Beach Stabbing). The arrest was the result of an investigation by the Violent Fugitive Task Force. Mr. Medina was taken into custody without incident and turned over to members of the Pawtucket Police Department on scene for transportation.
ARREST: 2026-028506 LOCATION: East Providence
On Friday, May 22, 2026, at 7:32 AM, members of the Special Victims Unit arrested David A. Simmons Sr., age 43, of 480 High Street, Apartment #A6, South Kingstown, Rhode Island, for Child Endangerment (4 counts). The arrest was the result of an investigation conducted by members of the Special Victims Unit. Mr. Simmons was processed at State Police Headquarters and transported to Washington County District Court for arraignment.
