On May 28, 2026, members of the Computer Crimes Unit/Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force arrested David Akiva Rosenbaum, age 25, of 80 11th Street, Providence, Rhode Island, for Possession of Child Pornography. Mr. Rosenbaum was processed at the State Police Lincoln Woods Barracks and transported to Sixth District Court. Mr. Rosenbaum was arraigned by the Honorable Judge Goulart, who issued $10,000 personal recognizance, with special conditions of no unsupervised contact with minors and restricted internet access.
On May 28, 2026, the Special Victims Unit with assistance from the Major Crimes Unit, the Violent Fugitive Task Force, Uniform Troopers, and members of the Tactical Team, arrested Heather Bessette, age 36, of 282 Providence Street, West Warwick, Rhode Island, on the following charges: 1) Trafficking of a Minor – Sexual Servitude; 2) Conspiracy to Traffic a Minor; 3) Contributing to the Delinquency of a Minor; 4) Providing Schedule I/II to a Minor; 5) Felony Assault with Dangerous Weapon; and 6) Enticing a Minor to Leave Home. The arrest was the result of a court-authorized Search Warrant and Arrest Affidavit. Ms. Bessette was processed and transported to Sixth District Court for Arraignment.
On May 28, 2026, the Special Victims Unit, with assistance from the Major Crimes Unit, the Violent Fugitive Task Force, Uniform Troopers, and members of the Tactical Team, arrested Victoria Cesario, age 28, of 332 Manton Avenue, 2nd Floor, Providence, Rhode Island, for the following: 1) Third-Degree Sexual Assault (2 counts); 2) Providence Superior Court Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear for Pre Arraignment Conference on the charge of Felony Assault originating out of the Cumberland Police Department; 3) Sixth District Court Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear for Arraignment on the charge of Possession of a Schedule I-V Substance originating out of the Central Falls Police Department; and 4) Providence Superior Court Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear for Pre Arraignment Conference on the charge of Possession of a Schedule I-V Substance originating out of the Central Falls Police Department. The arrest was the result of a court-authorized Search Warrant and Arrest Affidavit. Ms. Cesario was processed and transported to Sixth District Court for arraignment.
On May 28, 2026, the Special Victims Unit, with assistance from the Major Crimes Unit, the Violent Fugitive Task Force, Uniform Troopers, and members of the Tactical Team, arrested Kimberly Leo, age 22, of 332 Manton Avenue, 2nd Floor, Providence, Rhode Island, for the following: 1) Trafficking of a Minor – Sexual Servitude; 2) Conspiracy to Traffic a Minor; and 3) Contributing to the Delinquency of a Minor. The arrest was the result of a court-authorized Search Warrant and Arrest Affidavit. Ms. Leo was processed and transported to Sixth District Court for Arraignment.
On May 28, 2026, the Special Victims Unit, with assistance from the Major Crimes Unit, the Violent Fugitive Task Force, Uniform Troopers, and members of the Tactical Team, arrested Marissa Hanley, age 29, of 332 Manton Avenue, 2nd Floor, Providence, Rhode Island, for the following: 1) Possession of Schedule I-V (less than 10 grams). The arrest was the result of a court-authorized Search Warrant. Ms. Hanley was processed and transported to Sixth District Court for arraignment.
On May 28, 2026, the Special Victims Unit arrested Benjamin Brown, age 30, of 282 Providence Street, West Warwick, Rhode Island, for the following: 1) Contributing to the Delinquency of a Minor; and 2) Providing Schedule I/II to a Minor. Mr. Brown, currently incarcerated at the Adult Correctional Institutions, will be arraigned in Third District Court.
On May 28, 2026, the Special Victims Unit, with assistance from the Major Crimes Unit, the Violent Fugitive Task Force, Uniform Troopers, and members of the Tactical Team, arrested Brayeison Morel, age 19, of 332 Manton Avenue, 2nd Floor, Providence, Rhode Island, for the following: 1) Sixth District Court Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear for Pretrial Conference on the charge of Domestic Simple Assault originating out of the Providence Police Department. The arrest was the result of a court-authorized Search warrant. Mr. Morel was processed and transported to Sixth District Court for arraignment.
On May 28, 2026, members of the HIDTA Task Force and Troopers with the Hope Valley Barracks arrested Mike Gonzalez, age 33, of 149 Harrison Street, 1st Floor, Pawtucket, Rhode Island, for Possession with Intent to Deliver Crack Cocaine. The arrest was the result of Search Warrants executed at the conclusion of a narcotics investigation. Mr. Gonzalez was transported to the Lincoln Woods Barracks, where he was processed, arraigned by a Justice of the Peace and transported to the ACI Intake facility pending his arraignment in Sixth District Court in the morning.
On May 28, 2026, members of the Financial Crimes Unit arrested Jerred Vecchio, age 49, of 40 Leander Street, Providence, Rhode Island, for the following: 1) Obtaining Money by False Pretenses; and 2) Access to a Computer for Fraudulent Purposes. Mr. Vecchio was processed, arraigned by Justice of the Peace Crawford, and released on $10,000 Personal Recognizance.
