On Monday, June 1, 2026, the Major Crimes Unit with assistance from the Violent Fugitive Task Force, and Patrol Bureau, arrested Ian Melendez Maldonado, age 27, of 324 Willow Street, Apartment 4 (2nd Floor), Woonsocket, Rhode Island, on the following charges: 1) Modification of a Semi-Auto Weapon, 2) Manufacturing / Delivery / Possession with Intent to Manufacture / Deliver Marijuana 21-28-4.01 (a)(4)(i) - 2nd Offense, 3) two (2) counts Possession of a Firearm Committing a Controlled Substance Violation, 4) two (2) counts Possession of Firearms by a Prohibited Person; and 5) two (2) counts Large Capacity Feeding devices. The arrest was the result of the execution of a court-authorized search warrant. Mr. Melendez Maldonado was processed, transported to Sixth Division District Court for arraignment, and presented as a bail violator.
On Monday, June 1, 2026, the ACI Investigations Unit arrested Christopher Milano, age 57, with last known address of 98 Kennedy Lane, Harrisville , Rhode Island for 1.) Violation of Community Supervision. Mr. Milano was arraigned at Third Division District Court where he was released pending a future court date.
On June 1, 2026, members of the Computer Crimes Unit/Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force arrested Sean Cassidy, age 53, of 171 Crest Drive, Pawtucket, Rhode Island for 1.) Contributing to Delinquency and 2.) Furnishing and Procurement of Alcoholic Beverages for Underage Persons. Mr. Cassidy was transported to State Police Headquarters, processed, and arraigned before a justice of the peace before being released.
On June 1, 2026, members of the HIDTA Task Force and Troopers with the Hope Valley Barracks arrested Santonio Young, age 46, of 12 Elmore Street, Woonsocket for 1) Possession with Intent to Deliver One Ounce to One Kilogram of a Schedule II Controlled Substance - Cocaine, 2) Possession with Intent to Deliver a Schedule II Controlled Substance - Cocaine; and 3) Controlled Substance Conspiracy. The arrest was the result of search warrants executed at the conclusion of a narcotics investigation. Mr. Young was transported to the Lincoln Woods Barracks where he was processed and held overnight pending his arraignment at 3rd District Court.
On June 2, 2026, members of the Computer Crimes Unit/Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force, along with agents of Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) arrested Brandon Lurssen Valladares, age 26, of 52 Bergen Street, 2nd Floor, Providence, Rhode Island for Possession of Child Pornography. Mr. Valladares was transported to the United States District Court for the District of Rhode Island for arraignment.
