On Monday, June 8, 2026, at 9:02 AM, Troopers arrested Martha Russo, age 36, of 18 Gould Street, Newport, Rhode Island for 1.) Obtaining Property by False Pretenses / Personation Over 10,000, 2.) Access to Computer for Fraudulent Purposes, and a 3.) Second Division District Court Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear for Technical Violation Hearing on the original charge of Cyberstalking originating out of the State Police Lincoln Woods Barracks. The arrest was a result of an investigation conducted by members of the Hope Valley Barracks, and a subsequent warrant check. The subject was transported to the State Police Wickford Barracks where she was processed and later transported to Third Division District Court for arraignment.
