At 10:00 AM, Troopers arrested Christian Smith, age 26, of 1941 Riverchase Lane, Justin, Texas for 1.) Fugitive From Justice out of the Denton County Sheriff's Office on the original charge of Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon. This arrest was the result of Troopers responding to the Fort Adams State Park on a cruise ship in the city of Newport and locating the subject. Smith was transported to the Rhode Island State Police - Wickford Barracks where he was processed, arraigned by a Justice of the Peace and turned over to the Adult Correctional Institution- Men's Intake Center.
At 11:45 PM, Troopers arrested Calvin Goucher, age 28, of 117 Circuit Drive, Narragansett, Rhode Island for 1.) Driving Under the Influence of Intoxicating Liquor and/or Drugs - BAC Unknown-1st Offense, 2.) Refusal to Submit to a Chemical Test -1st Offense. The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Route 138 in the town of North Kingstown. The subject was transported to the Rhode Island State Police Wickford Barracks where he was processed, arraigned by a Justice of the Peace and released with a future Third district Court arraignment date.
At 1:30 AM, Troopers arrested Emma Lipinski, age 24, of 35 Benjamin Avenue, Cranston, Rhode Island for 1.) Driving Under the Influence of Intoxicating Liquor and/or Drugs-BAC Unknown-1st Offense, 2.) Refusal to Submit to a Chemical Test-1st Offense. The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Bald Hill Road in the City of Warwick. The subject was transported to the Rhode Island State Police Wickford Barracks where she was processed, arraigned by a Justice of the Peace and released with a Future Third District Court arraignment date.
