On Saturday, June 13, 2026, at 12:05 AM, Troopers arrested Ethan R. McDermott, age 22, of 10 Rosetti Drive, Cumberland, Rhode Island, for 1.) Driving Under the Influence of Liquor and/or Drugs – BAC Unknown – First Offense; 2.) Reckless Driving and Other Offenses Against Public Safety – First Offense; and 3.) Refusal to Submit to a Chemical Test – First Offense. The arrest was the result of an investigation into a motor vehicle crash on Route 146, in the Town of Lincoln. McDermott was transported to Rhode Island Hospital/Brown University Health, where he was evaluated/treated for his injuries, and later released with a notice to appear in Third Division District Court.
