At 10:00 AM, Troopers from the Lincoln Woods Barracks, assisted by members of the Violent Fugitive Task Force arrested Edward Leftwich, age 49, of 295 Woonasquatucket Avenue, Apt. 10, North Providence, Rhode Island for 1.) Large Capacity Feeding Devices Prohibited, 2.) Possession of a Schedule I-V Over 10 Grams Less than One Ounce, 3.) Firing in a Compact Area, and 4.) Sixth District Court Bench Warrant for a Bail Violation on the original charge of Cyberstalking/Harassment and Disorderly Conduct originating out of the State Police- Lincoln Woods Barracks. The arrest was the result of Troopers executing an Extreme Risk Protection Order Search Warrant. Leftwich was transported to the Lincoln Woods Barracks where he was processed and later transported to Sixth Division District Court for arraignment.
At 12:01 AM, Troopers arrested Luis J. Padilla, age 53, of 160 Broad Street, Providence, Rhode Island, on an Affidavit and Arrest Warrant issued by the Providence Police Department for Failure to Register as a Sex Offender. The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Broad Street, in the City of Providence. Padilla was transported to the Lincoln Woods Barracks, where he was processed, and later turned over to the Providence Police Department
