On Sunday, July 12, 2026, at 10:06 PM, Troopers arrested Angel Cruz, age 37, of 17 Kipling Street, Providence, Rhode Island, for 1.) Felony Assault and/or Battery, 2.) Possession of a Knife During Commission of a Crime and 3.) Disorderly Conduct. This arrest was the result of Troopers responding to a disturbance on Broad Street, in the City of Providence. Cruz was processed at the Lincoln Barracks, arraigned and released pending a future date at the Sixth Division District Court.
On Sunday, July 12, 2026, at 11:51 PM, Troopers arrested Juan Carlos Maldonado, age 46, of 74 Perry Street, Central Falls, Rhode Island, for 1.) Driving Under the Influence of Intoxicating Liquor and/or Drugs BAC Unknown – First Offense and 2.) Refusal to Submit to a Chemical Test. This arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Cemetery Street, in the City of Providence. Maldonado was processed at the Lincoln Woods Barracks, arraigned and released into the custody of a responsible adult pending a future date at the Sixth Division District Court.
On Monday, July 13, 2026, at 1:55 AM, Troopers arrested Leonardo Diaz-Maldonado, age 23, of 216 Pleasant Street, Pawtucket, Rhode Island, on an Affidavit and Arrest Warrant for Domestic Violence – Simple Assault and Disorderly Conduct originating out of the Woonsocket Police Department. This arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Royal Little Drive, in the City of Providence. Diaz-Maldonado was processed at the Lincoln Woods Barracks and later turned over to the Woonsocket Police Department.
