At 10:00 AM, Troopers arrested Nelson Boj Xivir, age 37, of 473 Warren Avenue, Apt 3, Brockton, Massachusetts, for 1.) Domestic Violence - Simple Assault - 1st Offense. This arrest was the result of Troopers responding to an assault that occurred on Route 95 South in the City of Providence and the suspect later being located and transferred to the Cranston Police Department. Boj Xivir was arraigned at the Cranston Police Department by a Justice of the Peace and released pending a future Sixth Division District Court date.
At 4:16 PM, Troopers arrested Dominic Costa, age 25, of 14 Benjamin Street, Providence, Rhode Island, for 1.) Driving with a Suspended License – Special Circumstances and 2.) Driving with Suspended License - 4th /Subsequent Offense. This arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on John Partington Highway in the City of Providence. Costa was transported to the Lincoln Woods Barracks where he was processed, arraigned by a Justice of the Peace, and transported to the Adult Correctional Institution – Men's Intake Center, where he will await presentment as a bail violator in Sixth Division District Court.
At 10:20 PM, Troopers arrested Latifah Joyce, age 37, of 135 Pumgansett Street, Providence, Rhode Island, for Domestic - Violation of a Protection Order. This arrest was the result of Troopers responding to a Disabled Motor Vehicle on Route 195, in the City of East Providence. Joyce was processed at the Lincoln Woods Barracks, arraigned by a Justice of the Peace, and later transported to the Adult Correctional Institution- Women's Intake Center, where she will await presentment as a bail violator in Sixth Division District Court.
