On Tuesday, August 4, 2026, at approximately 5:45 AM, members of the Rhode Island Violent Fugitive Task Force and Troopers from the Wickford Barracks arrested James Carey, age 29, of 193 New York Avenue, 2nd Floor, Providence, Rhode Island as a Fugitive From Justice out of Greensboro, North Carolina on an original charge of Rape of a Child / Failure to register as a sex offender and absconding out of North Carolina(Cut bracelet) on an original charge of Driving under the influence. The arrest was the result of an investigation by the Violent Fugitive Task Force. Mr. Carey was taken into custody without incident, transported to the Lincoln Woods Barracks where he was processed and ultimately transported to 6th District Court for his arraignment.

At 5:30 AM, members of the Auto Theft Task Force, ACI Investigations Unit and Intelligence Unit arrested Raymond Caballero, age 26, of 85 Cole Street, Apartment 2, Pawtucket, Rhode Island, on an affidavit and arrest warrant for Simple Assault. Arrest was the result of an investigation by members of the Special Victims Unit and Auto Theft Task Force. Subject was transported to Headquarters where he was processed and later arraigned at Sixth Division District Court where he was issued $1,000 surety bail and presented as a Superior Court Probation v
LOCATION: PAWTUCKET
At 6:30 AM, members of the Auto Theft Task Force, ACI Investigations Unit and Intelligence Unit arrested Nathan Quezada, age 22, of 20 Chaplin Street, Apartment 2, Pawtucket, Rhode Island, on an affidavit and arrest warrant for 1) Possession of a Stolen Vehicle; 2) Alteration of Identification Number; 3) Possession of Motor Vehicle with Altered VIN; 4) Receiving Stolen Goods; 5) Possession of Burglary Tools; 6) Injuring or Tampering With Vehicles; 7) Vandalism; 8) Conspiracy. Arrest was the result of an investigation by members of the Auto Theft Task Force. Subject was transported to Headquarters where he was processed then turned over to Third Division District Court where he was issued $10,000 surety bail and held as a District Court bail violator.
