On Tuesday, August 4, 2026 at 11:01 AM, Troopers arrested Carlos Rosario, age 26, of 1050 Chalkstone Avenue, Providence, Rhode Island for 1.) Forgery and Counterfeiting of Registration Plates. The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Charles Street, in the City of Providence. Rosario was transported to the State Police - Lincoln Barracks, where he was processed, and later transported to Sixth Division District Court for arraignment.
On Tuesday, August 4, 2026 at 12:39 PM, Troopers arrested Edward Baptista, age 40, of 136 Indiana Street, Apt #1, Providence, Rhode Island, for an active Affidavit and Arrest Warrant out of the Coventry Police Department for 1.) Domestic Violence-Simple Assault. The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Francis Street in the City of Providence. Baptista was transported to the State Police - Lincoln Woods Barracks where he was processed and later turned over to the Coventry Police Department.
On Tuesday, August 4, 2026 at 2:39PM, Troopers arrested Jessica Viera, age 45, of 1093 Bullocks Point Avenue, East Providence, Rhode Island, for a Providence Superior Court Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear for Review on the original charge of 1.) Exploitation of an Elder, originating out of the East Providence Police Department. The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Charles Street in the City of Providence. Ms. Viera was transported to the State Police - Lincoln Woods Barracks where she was processed and later transported to the Adult Correctional Institution- Women's Intake Center.
On Wednesday, August 5, 2026 at 12:30 am, Troopers arrested Jose A. Breton Jr, age 23, of 57 Lakeside Avenue, Cranston, Rhode Island, for 1.) Receiving Stolen Goods less than $1500. The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Farragut Street in the City of Providence. The subject was transported to the State Police – Lincoln Woods Barracks where he was processed and held overnight pending arraignment in Sixth Division District Court, where he will be presented as a probation violator.
On Wednesday, August 5, 2026 at 2:32 am, Troopers arrested Sammy P. Hazard, age 20, of 41 Kossuth Street, Pawtucket, Rhode Island, as a Fugitive from Justice out of the Attleboro Police Department, Massachusetts, on the original charge of Larceny – From Building. The subject was transported to the State Police – Lincoln Woods Barracks where he was processed and held overnight pending arraignment in Sixth Division District Court.
